CHICAGO _ As an administrative assistant at Burke Burns & Pinelli, Ltd, Tim Wagner helps keep things running smoothly for the firm on a daily basis. But on Sunday, Oct. 10, Wagner displayed a different sort of running prowess by successfully completing the 2010 Chicago Marathon.
Despite straining a lower back muscle early in the race, Wagner, 28, completed the 26-mile test of endurance in 05:23:00. It marked the third Chicago Marathon finish in three attempts for Wagner, who finished the 2009 race in 4:55.00.
Earlier this year, Wagner, a native of Oak Forest, successfully completed the 2010 San Francisco Marathon in a personal-best 4:31.00. He is registered to compete next spring at the 2011 Big Sur Marathon in Montego Bay, California.
