BBP Welcomes New Associates

Burke Burns & Pinelli, Ltd. is pleased to announce that Madeleine S. Podesta and Larisa L. Elizondo have recently joined our practice as associate attorneys.
Ms. Podesta joins the firm after working in private practice, where she gained experience in general federal litigation, Title VII and First Amendment issues. At BBP, she concentrates her practice in the areas of corporate and municipal law. Ms. Podesta assists in providing legal services to the firm's municipal clients and governmental pension funds, especially on matters involving employment.
Ms. Podesta graduated from Southern Methodist University (B.A., 2004) and St. Thomas University School of Law (J.D. 2007). She is a member of the Illinois State Bar, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She also serves on the Executive Committee of the Chicago Bar Association's Alliance for Women.
Ms. Elizondo joins the firm after serving as Assistant Corporation Counsel with the City of Chicago. During her time with the City of Chicago, she acquired extensive litigation and trial experience assigned to the City's Municipal Prosecutions Division, the Building and License Enforcement Division, and the Labor Division.
Ms. Elizondo graduated from the University of Michigan (B.A., 2002) and IIT/Chicago's Kent College of Law (J.D., 2005). During law school, she spent a summer studying abroad in Barcelona, Spain, as part of a program offered by the University of San Diego Law School.
Ms. Elizondo is a member of the Illinois State Bar, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She is also a member of the Chicago Bar Association, for which she serves as Vice Chair of the Municipal Committee. Ms. Elizondo's practice focuses on corporate and municipal law.
